Liberty Christian Prep is glad to welcome back one of our beloved teachers, Mr. Jayson Roach. He was away for the first half of the year due to Covid-19 and returned back to teaching on Jan. 6, 2022. Many students and staff were very pleased to see him back in the classroom and in the halls of LCP.
LCP students couldn’t be happier to see him out of the hospital and into the classroom. The entire school has been praying for him to recover and to return to school. Roach is currently teaching the seventh, eighth and the ninth graders as well as supervising the FLVS class during fourth hour.
Many LCP family members wanted to give Mr. Roach a message of hope. Freshman Mackenzie Frost said, “I want to tell him thanks for being a good teacher and being a positive influence on all of us.” Senior Reagan Marchand, one of his former students, stated that “One thing I would like to tell him is honestly just thank you; he may not know this, but he has impacted my life and impacted it for the better. So I'm just grateful for him being the teacher that he is.” Delaney Thomas in seventh grade said “I think it’s really brave of him to come back and I’m thankful he’s back at LCP.” Freshman Meghan Nelson said that she thinks that it’s really cool that he came back and it shows Roach’s dedication to the school and his students.
Roach’s advice to all of us is, “Every situation and every difficulty is different, but if you truly focus on the Lord and give it to Him, He will direct your path like the scriptures say.” Also, when asked how he felt about him coming back to school he said that “It feels great to be back. I missed the students and the staff and it's been great meeting the new teachers! I enjoy what I do and I enjoy serving the Lord and I just really missed everybody. I wasn't sure if I was going to be back this year, so I'm just really happy to be back this year.”
