MEET OUR PRINCIPAL

Mrs. Kelli Shepherd

Kelli Shepherd is an experienced educational leader with a deep passion for student success, academic excellence, and—above all—helping young people come to know and accept Christ as their Savior.

A graduate of Liberty University, Kelli holds an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, with graduation anticipated in May 2026.

With over 15 years in education, Kelli has served in a variety of roles including classroom teacher, school administrator, instructional coach, curriculum developer, and ministry leader. She began her educational career at Liberty Christian School in Sanford, FL, where she taught for five years before stepping into the role of Director. Her expertise in curriculum and academic programming also led her to work as a curriculum writer and developer for Liberty University.

Since joining Liberty Christian Preparatory School in Tavares five years ago, Kelli has served as a science teacher, Dean of Students, and now Principal. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, strong partnership with families, and unwavering commitment to both academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Outside the classroom, Kelli has spent more than 20 years investing in the lives of young people through her work in ministry. She has served with the Seminole County Salvation Army Youth Department, led Awana programs, created outreach initiatives, and contributed on various ministry teams. Her heart for service, missions, and discipleship is evident in everything she does.

Kelli Shepherd leads Liberty Christian Prep with grace, purpose, and dedication—ensuring every student is seen, supported, and challenged to become all that God has called them to be.
